Abstract

1519349 Securing railway rails PANDROL Ltd 5 Jan 1977 [13 Oct 1975] 41893/75 Heading E1G In order to lock a rail fastening clip in its anchorage 19 the clip, formed from a length of bent bar, has a downwardly inclined end portion 8, Fig. 1, having a flat 30 (Fig. 5) on its underface which as the clip is driven into position (i.e. from right to left in Fig. 1) rides up an inclined surface 24 on a projection 23 on the anchorage and drops behind a stop surface 26 so that it cannot be removed without forcing the end 8 upwardly. The clip shown is of the kind whose straight leg 7 is driven into an anchorage passage 21 parallel to the rail.
