Abstract

1504875 Fasteners for stay bars CROMPTON NETTLEFOLD STENMAN Ltd 26 March 1975 [27 March 1974] 13555/74 Heading E2F A fastening for securing a window stay bar 8 in the window-closed position on a window frame 7 comprises a one piece mounting 2 formed with a hook to receive the bar, and a latch member 5 (preferably a hollow nylon moulding) pivoted at 6 to the top of the mounting and designed to be gravity urged into a position (Fig. 3), which prevents the bar from being unhooked. Preferably the latch member 5 has inclined lower edges 9 (25‹-40‹ to the horizontal in the Fig. 3 position). Two such fastenings can be used, or only one may be employed in combination with a pin which engages the side of the stay.
