Abstract

1493031 Pressurized container valve actuators AEROSOL INVENTIONS & DEVELOPMENT SA 14 Feb 1975 [19 Feb 1974 9 May 1974 18 Dec 1974] 6311/75 Heading F1R The actuator cap assembly for a pressurized dispenser includes a mounting ring 5 which is a snap fit on the rim of a valve mounting cup and the outer periphery is in snap engagement with the skirt 1 of the outer cap 3 in which the button 2 is hinged. The button 2 is separate from the cap and is inserted therein from below during assembly. The ring also provides an aperture 28 which guides the button stem 8 into the valve; in a second embodiment Fig. 6 (not shown) the ring also has a sleeve which is guided on the boss of the valve. In the embodiment shown the ring also includes a pointed pin 29 which punctures the cup 21 if it is distorted due to excess pressure. Specification 1493032 is referred to.
