Abstract

1507784 Valve actuators for pressurized dispensers AEROSOL INVENTIONS & DEVELOPMENT SA 23 April 1976 [25 April 1975] 16486/76 Heading F1R A valve actuator is formed from three separate parts which are held together on assembly. The valve button 3 is hinged to a substantially cylindrical skirt by two webs 15, 16, and the skirt is attached to a substantially cylindrical body 1 by the engagement of a portion 20 of the skirt between two ribs 8, 10 on the head 5 of the body 1, whereby the button is located within the body 1. The skirt 2 has a portion 21 and lugs 22 for securing the actuator to a cam 28. The assembly is supported by a sleeve 25 adapted to fit the boss of the valve mounting cup. A conical guide 23 is provided to lead the stem 14 of the button into a guide bush 24. The portion 23, 24, 25 are located by webs 26 which may be integral with or separately engaged in the skirt. The button is accessible through an opening in the body 1 when the tear strip 6 is removed.
