Abstract

1485830 Envelopes DISPLAY CORP INTERNATIONAL 21 Oct 1974 [27 Feb 1974 6 June 1974] 37806/76 Divided out of 1485829 Heading B8K An envelope 38 for carrying a flat article such as a road map and which is an example of one of several envelopes which are placed in a stack in a dispensing device for the sale of such articles, comprises a pair of flat side panels 60, 62 which are connected along one side edge 64 and along the opposite end edges 66, 68 to form a pocket which is closed at three sides and open at one side to receive a folded road map 40. Centrally located in each of the panels 60, 62 is an aperture 70 which is engaged by part of the dispensing mechanism (80, 82) of the dispensing device for movement through a dispensing slot (58), Fig. 2 (not shown). An alternative embodiment of envelope is shown in Figs. 9 and 10 (not shown). In this embodiment the envelope (100) is formed by joining the two longitudinal edges and one end end of the side panels (102, 104), the other end edge being open to receive a road map (112). A circular aperture (114) is provided in each side panel (102, 104), but the apertures may alternatively be four-sided, Fig. 14 (not shown), or six-sided, Fig. 15 (not shown).
