Abstract
1450054 Two-part couplings MK ELECTRIC Ltd 11 Sept 1973 [20 Nov 1972] 53480/72 Heading H2E An adaptor comprises an insulating casing and a fuse carrier 27, accessible from the exterior of the casing and movable between an open position, in which it is retained by the casing and allows the replacement of a fuse link, and a closed position in which it fits into and substantially flush with the casing, there being two contacts extending from one face of the casing and two socket contacts accessible through another face of the casing. In the embodiment shown the carrier 27 pivots on trunnions 36 accommodated by recesses (37, Fig. 1, not shown) in co-operating parts of the casing and the fuse is not accessible when the adaptor is in use, rotation of the carrier 27 being prevented by abutment of part 12 against a socket face (not shown). A shutter (24, Fig. 2, not shown) moves when pins (not shown) are inserted simultaneously into the adaptor sockets (22, 23).
