1329940 Sterilizable packages R H WERNBORG 25 Aug 1972 [31 Aug 1971] 39770/72 Headings B8C and B8K A sterilizable package comprises a paper outer sheet 1 on one side capable of serving as a bacteria filter, and an outer sheet 2 on the other side and a smaller inner sheet 3 both of a transparent and thermoplastic film material, the three sheets being heat sealed together, the thermoplastic sheets 2 and 3 forming a pocket for the article to be packaged and capable of acting as a waste bag after sheet 1 has been peeled off and the article removed. The package may be formed by heat sealing three webs 1A, 2A and 3A together along lines 4 and 5, severing the bags thus formed from each other, inserting an article into a bag, and heat sealing it along a line 6.
