Abstract
1398698 Boxes KEYES FIBRE CO 20 Dec 1973 [2 Jan 1973] 59149/73 Heading B8P A box of moulded pulp has a fold line 4 extending across the base so that each half of the box can be angularly disposed with respect to the other half (as shown in full lines in Fig. 2), to facilitate moulding and to provide the draft angle. When the base portions 4 are moved into the horizontal plane the sides 6 are perpendicular to the base. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 3, compartments 22 are formed to receive bottles, there being hollow ribs 24 between the compartments and planar wall segments (26, Fig. 5), to close off the ribs at the fold line. When the base portions 5 are angularly disposed as shown in Fig. 2, the boxes can be nested. The box may be made from wood pulp or recycled newsprint.
