Abstract

1323286 Stackable and nestable plastics boxes KRAUSS-MAFFEI AG 6 June 1972 [9 June 1971] 26381/72 Heading B8P A stackable and nestable plastics box 1 has slightly tapering side walls 3-6 and corner portions 11 which can be snapped inwardly of the box as shown at 9 for stacking or snapped into alignment with the side walls as shown at 10 for nesting. The corner portions 11 each comprise two ribs (12, 13) hinged to each other and to the side walls. In modifications, the corner portions 11 may each comprise four hinged ribs (17-20), may each comprise two ribs (25, 26) which are not hinged to each other but are held in their limit positions by lugs (30) on the base 2, or may each comprise a substantially triangular rib (35) which is resiliently biased into alignment with a side wall and is held in its projecting position by a lug (32) on the base of the box stacked above it. The box walls are reinforced by offset portions 7 and a peripheral flange 8.
