Abstract
1355070 Sliding clasp fasteners OPTI-HOLDING AG 10 June 1971 [19 Jan 1971] 19817/ 71 Heading E2S A sliding clasp fastener, with rows 2 of interlocking elements 7 fitted to stringer tapes 1, and a separable end stop comprising a plug 3 and socket 4 with associated connecting element 5, has a plastics covering 6 on the tapes adjacent the end stop and extending along the fastener rows, the plug and connecting element, which are formed integral with the covering, being spaced or recessed at 8 from their respective adjacent rows of elements, the plug 3 being provided with an abutment face 11 that extends as far beyond the edge of the stringer tape as its associated element. The connecting element 5 may be provided with a protuberance 13 which fits into a groove 12 in plug 3. The abutment face 11 of the lug 10 may be inclined e.g. at 5‹ to the fastener transverse axis. Thus if a transverse force is applied to the stringer tape, which would normally disengage the interlocking elements, lug 10 abuts its adjacent interlocking element to lock the elements, in the vicinity of the end stop, together.
