1299986 Garment hangers E ROSENKRANZ and FROSENKRANZ [trading as EDWARD ROSENKRANZ & Cie] 9 Sept 1970 [11 Sept 1969] 43110/70 Heading A4U The suspension member 3 of a garment hanger, designed to be unsuitable for use with a conventional wardrobe rail, has a part 4 which is normal to the plane of the arms 2 and is journalled in a sleeve 11 of a supporting member 7 which has a sleeve 9 slideable along a wardrobe rail 6 and is secured in adjusted position by a screw 8. A screw 5 retains the part 4 in the sleeve 11 and a plate 12, carrying an identifying symbol has a keyhole slot for engagement with the part 4 and passage over the screw 5. In modifications, the sleeve is replaced by a hook, the sleeve or the hook extending along the part 4 a distance sufficient to exclude pivoting of the hanger except on an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rail, or the rail is of circular or rectangular section with a downwardly open runner rail in which the supporting members slide.
