Abstract

568,434. Garment hangers. BROOKS & CO., Ltd., J. B., and BROOKES, T. J. W. Sept. 9, 1943, No. 14788. [Class 52 (v)] In a garment hanger the suspension device may be adjusted to project different distances above the upper edge of the hanger. The hanger comprises two shoulder supporting arms 1a, 1b of plastic &c. secured together at their opposed ends by a pair of metal plates 2 which are spaced apart to form a narrow, open-ended, slot-like housing 3. The housing is provided with a pin 8 with which engages selectively the branches 7a, 7b of the slot 7 formed in the suspension device 4 having an attachment hook 5 and, if desired, a suspension hook 6 for various articles. The slot 7 may have more than two branches.
