Abstract

1281303 Feeding sheets HANS SICKINGER CO 27 Nov 1970 [29 Dec 1969] 56502/70 Heading B8R Groups of sheets are separated from the bottom of a pile 16 by a revolving disc 14 having a slot 43 through which a group of sheets passes to be deposited on conveyer belts 44 running over table 13. A group of sheets is caused to enter slot 43 by a finger 36 which enters the pile and lifts the upper portion from the group to be separated, the group then being deflected downwards into the slot by a rotating shaft 32 having a spiral slot 33 which engages the front edge of the group. A separated group meets a front stop 54 at a punching station and the sheets are aligned by a rear jogger (56, Fig. 3, not shown) and a side jogger 57. The front stop and rear jogger are adjustable on carriages and the side jogger is adjustable on rods 58. After a row of holes has been punched along one edge of a group, stop 54 is retracted and the group is discharged into a bin 94.
