Abstract

1432790 Delivering sheets XEROX CORP 19 Dec 1973 [29 Dec 1972] 58830/73 Heading B8R In a sheet sorting apparatus, sheets fed from a xerographic copying-machine by a radium conveyer 109 are directed, according to the setting of a deflector 110, either by a vacuum belt 114 to the front of a tray assembly T or by vacuum belts 103, 122 to the rear of the assembly in an inverted condition. The tray assemblies are movable vertically by rotating vertical cam members having helical grooves, the grooves having a coarse pitch in the stacking zone so that assemblies in said zone are spaced further apart than elsewhere.
