Abstract
1,264,043. Thread dispenser. GUTERMANN & CO. A.G. March 4, 1970 [March 7, 1969], No.12311/69. Addition to 1, 009, 821. Heading A4G. A container 62, Fig.15 e.g. of plastics for a coreless cap of thread 73 has end flanges 65-67 whereby end caps 63, 64 are engaged on the container, cap 64 having different sized openings 71, 72 for supporting the container on a peg of a sewing machine while cap 63 has an orifice 77 through which the thread is dispensed. Sliding on cap 63 via flanges 75 engaging flanges 76 is a cover 74 having a thread orifice 78 and a projection 81 entering cap depression 82 when the cover is slid to make orifices 77, 78 coincide and entering orifice 77 to grip the thread when the passage through the orifices is closed. The cover may be a lid 21, Fig.10 connected to cap 24 for the container by a plastics hinge 22 and gripping the thread when closing the open end orifice. Thread may be back wound in a peripheral groove around the cap flange 78, 28, the casing may be cylindrical or in two oval section halves 61, 62 and may have an orifice in cap 64 for blowing through the cap to project the leading thread.
