Abstract

856,544. Stoppers. LIBIT, S. M. Nov. 8, 1958, No. 35917/58. Class 125(3). A stopper for a container 14 comprises a body 10 with a hole 21 passing therethrough and a part 11 vertically movable between a closed position when a plug 29 fixed to the body 10 engages a hole 41 passing through a plug 11 and an open position when shoulders 36 and 19 on the respective parts 11 and 10 are in engagement. In a modification a circumferential rib on the plug 11 engages an annular groove on the body part in the closed position and in a further modification a plug fixed to the vertically movable part engages a hole in the body part. A further embodiment describes the movable part closing against a flat plate.
