Abstract

1,251,066. Vehicle doors. SOC. ANON. AUTOMOBILES CITROEN. 20 Nov., 1968 [23 Nov., 1967], No. 54999/68. Heading B7J. [Also in Divisions E1-E2] In a vehicle door in which the hinged panels abut directly against body members, the door frame 5 is constructed with the upper part of the door having a flange 5b which in the closed position of the door lies in the same plane as or is a continuation of the roof 1 with a gap f in between which forms the mouth of a channel formed by the body frame flange 3a supporting a sealing strip 4 at the bottom of the channel and against which the door frame 5 abuts sealingly, the channel forming a drain channel for the roof. In Fig. 6, the sealing strip is held in a channel formation 2 with a drainage channel formed in the roof, there being a further gap f which forms the mouth of a channel or gutter formed by the upper rail 5 of the door abutting the sealing strip 4 in the closed position of the door.
