Abstract

1,244,031. Intruder alarms. BRITISH RAILWAYS BOARD. 2 April, 1969 [5 Jan., 1968], No. 778/68. Heading G4N. An intruder alarm comprises an electrified fence of insulated wire, an alarm being operated when current flow is interrupted. The wire may be solid or stranded, single or multicore, screened, and braided with metal or textile. The fence is formed by knitting a single wire or a plurality of wires in a close mesh, the wire being firmly secured at cross-over points in the mesh.
