Abstract

1,044,908. Fencing. DARLINGTON FENCING CO. Sept. 1, 1964 [Sept. 17, 1963], No. 36488/63. Heading E1B. A post for electrified fencing wires 7, 8 comprises a wire 1 coated in insulating material such as P.V.C. and bent as shown to provide offset loops 5, 6 supporting the fencing wires, and a depending portion 4, sheaths 10, 11 of galvanized wire being provided around and adjacent the loops. The sheaths 10, 11 thus become electrified. The post may be inserted in the ground by treading on a loop 3.
