Abstract

1,128,035. Stretch yarns. SCHIPAT A.G. 15 Oct., 1965 [15 Oct., 1964], No. 43753/65. Headings D1F, D1P and D1W. A process of producing a stretch yarn comprises twisting together with metric twist coefficient of between 136 and 166 two single yarns which are of a cellulosic material and which are twisted in opposite senses but have a twist coefficient of between 106 and 122, and shrinking the plied yarn by treatment in a hot dilute caustic dyefor example sodium hydroxide of about .05% concentration by weight. The shrinking treatment may be applied to the yarn in an untensioned state before or after fabric formation.
