Abstract

519,038. Sewing thread. TRIGGS, W. W. (Du Pont de Nemours & Co., E. I.). Sept. 13, 1938, No. 26665. [Class 120 (iii)] A sewing thread is made from filaments of a synthetic linear polyamide particularly polyhexamethylene adipamide and the twist is set by subjecting the thread to a non-solvent swelling agent, e.g., boiling water. The thread may be formed from a single bundle of twisted filaments or by plying together a number of yarns formed from twisted filaments. Specifica- 461.236, and 461,237, [both in Group IV], and U.S.A. Specification 2,071,250 are referred to.
