Abstract
1,113,755. Pneumatic conveyers. INSTITUT FUR FORDERTECHNIK LEIPZIG. 29 April, 1966, No. 18882/66. Heading B8A. Powdered or granular material in a pneumatic conveyer duct 2 is fluidized by gas from a supply duct 4 which is formed with apertures 5 and which is surrounded by a gas-permeable casing 3, a gap between the duct 4 and casing 3 forming a distributer passage 6. The duct 4 may have a circular cross-section, Fig. 2 (not shown), or an elliptical cross-section, Fig. 3 (not shown). The duct 4 may be formed in sections with differing arrangements of apertures 5 to adjust the gas flow, the sections being connected by throttle elements, Fig. 4 (not shown).
