Abstract

1,146,519. Pneumatic conveyers. H. HOLTER. 29 Nov., 1966 [20 July, 1966; 26 Oct., 1966], No. 53274/66. Heading B8A. [Also in Division F1] A pneumatic conveyer for granular or powdered materials comprises a Venturi tube 10 connected to a supply duct 17 and provided with conveying air nozzles 18 converging relative to one another in the direction of flow through the tube towards the throat 14. A water inlet 22 is provided in the path of the nozzles 18 to introduce a fine water spray into the Venturi tube 10. In a second embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), a pair of Venturi tubes are connected together in tandem.
