Abstract

1,185,573. Sanitary closets. H. MAURER. 27 March, 1968 [31 March, 1967], No. 14751/68. Heading E1C. A sanitary closet bowl 7 is supported by beams 5 cantilevered out from a framework 1 fixed to a wall and/or the floor and having a wooden or plastics casing 4, 11 enclosing the associated apparatus. A tank 21, supported on the framework, has an upper flushing portion 23 and a lower compartment 24 heated by a rod 28 and supplying heated water via a pump 30 to a spring-loaded telescopic tube 20 which is extended by the water pressure into the position shown and sprays heated water upwards, upon operation of a bar 40 to close a contact 44, the operation of said bar also operating the flush as shown, although the bar may be arranged to achieve separate operation. De-odourising is achieved by a suction device 36 incorporating a charcoal filter, which device is operated by pressure on the closet seat, and when pressure on the bar 40 is released, warm air is pumped out through pipe 19 by a blower 37 associated with a de-odourising filter 38.
