Abstract

1,070,188. Disinfecting closets &c. CALMIC Ltd. June 17, 1965 [Nov. 7, 1964], No. 45473/ 64. Addition to 1,069,213. Heading A5G. [Also in Division E1] A disinfecting device 10 comprises an outer container 13 supported within a flushing cistern with its upper opening in the region of the normal "full" water level of the cistern, an inner container, e.g. an inverted bottle 14, for a viscous slowly mobile disinfectant composition open at its lower end and spaced above the base of the container 13 which is closed by a plug 16 of material such as sponge with the disinfectant on top and a syphon tube 15 with an outside outlet 19 and an inside inlet 18 at a level to retain a sufficient depth of water beneath the container 14 for contact with or to submerge the lower face of the plug 16. The concentrated solution so formed during a. flush is diluted during the next flush and discharged into a convenience at the end thereof. 'A pumping device 11 is attached to the container 13 to pump air by the rise and fall of water in the cistern comprising an inverted vessel 24 to the top of which a deodorizer 27 containing a deodorant pad 31 is connected at 25 and through which it causes a draught of air by means of a pipe 26. It is supported in the cistern by strips 12.
