Abstract
1430750 Warheads BOLKOW GmbH and F R THOMANEK 31 May 1967 [25 June 1966] 25202/67 Heading F3A In the missile fragmentation warhead 1c, the explosive charge 3 is frusto-conical and mounted within the steel casing 5. The missile rear part la and front part 1b are secured together by the casing 5. The spherical fragments 4 are mounted in layers round the charge, the larger fragments adjacent to the casing and are directed forwardly in a conical burst upon detonation. The conical space and cover 8 produce a hollow charge jet towards the target. In a modification, the charge is shaped to produce two annular bursts.
