A liquid fuel burner comprises a burner nozzle 4, a fan driven by a motor 1 for supplying combustion air axially about the nozzle, air inlets 6, a regulating flap 5 and a guide device 8 and a rotary fuel emulsifying device 3 disposed adjacent to and substantially coaxial with the nozzle 4 to supply emulsified fuel thereto. The fan and emulsifying device may be on a common shaft or have a speed-reducing device coupled between them.
