[Class 75(i)] [Also in Group XII] A liquid fuel burner has a central fuel inlet nozzle 4 and a surrounding combustion air inlet, an annular set of guiding members being arranged in the air inlet and comprising alternately oppositelyinclined guide vanes 5 so that the air enters the burner in a series of alternately oppositely-rotating helices. The burner may be air-jacketted or have material insulation. The guide vanes 5b are mounted between a central support 13 and a cylindrical wall 5a.
