Abstract

1,034,053. Liquid fuel burners. TELALEMIT (DEVELOPMENTS) Ltd. Jan. 29, 1965 [Feb. 4, 1964], No. 4776/64. Heading F4T. A liquid fuel burner comprises an atomizing nozzle 9 concentrically disposed within a draught tube 10 leading into a supply passage 8 leading tangentially into a cylindrical combustion chamber 2 having an arcuate deflector 11, an inlet 13 for secondary air and a perforated cover 14. Partial combustion takes place in the combustion chamber and a blue flame is formed at the perforated cover. The draught tube 10 is inclined to the axis of the supply passage 8. The arcuate deflector plate 11 has an inclined upper edge and extends from the end of the supply passage 8 into the combustion chamber. The secondary air inlet 13 is formed by a frusto-conical tube extending through the base of the combustion chamber. A fuel pump 7 and a centrifugal fan 6 are driven by an electric motor 5. A pair of ignition electrodes 12 are mounted in the combustion chamber. A flame spreader may be mounted above the cover.
