Abstract

1,031,858. Cartons; packages. JAGENBURG & MEDIN A.B. April 20, 1964 [Nov. 9, 1963; March 13, 1964], No. 16375/64. Headings B8C and B8P. Cartons having flaps 6, 7 on the edges of the lid 2 and flaps 11, 12, 12a at the tops of the walls 3, 4 and the gusset folds 9 are sealed by first sealing the flaps 12a to the inside of the lid 2 and bending in the flaps 11, 12, then closing the lid and bending the flaps 6, 7 of the lid virtually upwards, covering the joint between the wall panels and the lid with adhesive and bending down the flaps 6 to seal them to the wall panels. The flaps 11, 12 are glued or heat sealed to the lid and the flaps 12a prevent leakage at the hinge of the lid. The adhesive may be applied as a liquid or in the form of tape adhesive on both sides.
