Abstract

987,170. Packages. TETRA A.B. Jan. 14, 1964 [Jan. 16, 1963], No. 1625/64. Heading B8C. A flexible package formed by sealing a filled tube at intervals, shaping the package, and cutting the tube at the seals, is provided with a reinforcing panel 2 on one of its sides 5. The side 5 and the underside of the panel 2 are coated with thermoplastic material and sealed by applying pressure. The package may itself be of coated thermoplastic material, e.g. polyethylene, wax or lacquer and sealed by pressure; or it may be sealed with glue. The panel 2 may extend on to the sides of the package adjacent the side 5, or it may project from the side wall edges.
