Abstract

1,090,810. Injection moulding hot-water bottles. DESMA-WERKE G.m.b.H May 17, 1965 [May 22, 1964], No. 18179/67. Divided out of 1,085,764. Heading B5A. A hot-water bottle is moulded by injecting rubber or synthetic plastics material between mould halves (15), 16 and a core 18, the core being supported at one end by a core holder 19 and at the other by retractable core supports 22. After a majority of the material has been injected, supports 22 are retracted to a position where their end surfaces 22a lie flush with the mould cavity, and further injection may occur to fill the spaces left by the supports. A suspension tab 12 is moulded whose eye is formed by a removable pin 13 and the tab may incorporate a ring 14. In a second embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), core 18 is supported from above and below by supports (26) reciprocably mounted in mould halves (15, 16).
