Abstract

1,069,704. Communicating apparatus. A. HEGER. Feb. 16, 1966 [Feb. 23, 1965], No. 6901/66. Heading B2A. A mill for grinding cereals and granular crops comprises a blade 4, Fig. 2, rotatable on a vertical axis within a sieve 2 in a housing 1, which has a partially open bottom and is mountable on a container e.g. a meal chest (12, Fig. 1) a quantity regulating device being provided for. the inflowing material. As described, the blade 4 has serrations (44, Fig. 3) and is driven by a motor (13) which also drives a fan (17) which may extract ground material from the meal chest (12). for delivery to a mixing or discharge device (not shown). The quantity regulating device comprises a pipe 10 which is adjusted by a bolt 37 in a slot 36 in a tube 7 welded or detachably connected to a lid 6. The sieve 2 is replaceable according to the fineness of grind denied, is centred by a ring 33 on the inner side of the lid, and may carry baffle strips on its inside.
