Abstract
1378370 Disc mills; air sifter R ZIMMER 28 Aug 1973 [31 Aug 1972] 40452/73 Headings B2A and B2H A disc mill comprises a fixed stone 4 Fig. 1 a motor 6 and rotatable stone 5 a fan 8 or two fans 8, 7, a filter 14 a hopper 2 mounted on an upper body 1 which is directly or indirectly threadedly engaged with a lower body 3, and an outlet spout 9 to which is attached a receptacle 10. The fan 8 cools the motor air flowing through the filter 14. Spacing between the stones is effected by the screw threading 17', 1'. The upper and lower parts 1, 3 are locked by a screw 18. A second air filter 19 and the second fan 7 facilitate discharge into the bag 10 and prevent clogging. The stone 5 includes a vane 24 to stir grains in the hopper 2. Passage into the mill may be regulated by a screw 32 Fig. 4 or by a lever and sliding shutter. The discharge arrangement may include an air filter in one limb of a three way connector 25, Fig. 2. Discharge may also be into an air sifter Fig. 3 having partitions 27 fitted with deflectors 28, spouts 29, a throttle 30, and filter-oblurators 31.
