Abstract

1292493 Impact pulverizers COMMERCIAL HOLDINGS Ltd 18 May 1971 [25 Feb 1970] 8954/70 Heading B2A An impact puliverizer 10 comprises a cylindrical chamber 23, Fig. 2, with an impeller blade arrangement 25..27, and an entry aperture communicating with a chute 15, Fig. 1, for gravity feed of material, e.g. glass bottles. As described, the chute is mounted at 45‹ to the axis of the cylindrical chamber which is horizontal. The chute includes protective spring loaded doors 19a, b at the input end and a stranded rubber curtain 32 half way down the chute. Two impeller blades 25, 26 are mounted on an impeller disc 27 and each may have a 45‹ chamfer at its end located close to the inner cylindrical wall to provide a crushing gap A of 1/4", Fig. 3. The ends may alternatively be curved. A disposable container 17 is located beneath the exit aperture 29 of the chamber. (For Figures see next page)
