Abstract
1,060,548. Haymaking machines. MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR A.G. June 9, 1964 [June 12, 1963], No. 23804/64. Heading A1F. A haymaking machine, of the type having a plurality of rake-heads 2, rotatable about upright axes on a rigid cross-member 13 on pivots 3 and driven by a driving shaft 4 mounted on the cross-member, is characterized in that the pivot 3 of at least one rakehead is mounted on an axle-block 11 swivellable about the driving shaft 4. In Fig. 4 each pivot-shaft 3 terminates in an axle-block 11 intersected by the shaft 4, the block being connected to the crossmember 13 by pins 14 entering elongated slots 15 in the axle-block, a spring 16 maintaining the pins normally in contact with one end of each slot. In Fig. 5, the axle-block 11 has lateral wings 20, 21 which engage complementary abutments 18, 19 on the casing 13. A pin 23 can be inserted through the casing to contact one wing 21 and prevent pivoting of the rakehead.
