Abstract

1,047,145. Haymaking machines. FELLAWERKE G.m.b.H. Aug. 26, 1963 [Oct. 30, 1962], No. 926/66. Divided out of 1,047,142. Heading A1F. A main supporting beam 1, for a rotary rake-head haymaking-machine has mounted within it a driving shaft 2 for the rakeheads on which are secured bevel-gears 3, each of which engages with a bevel-wheel 4 rigidly secured to a hollow shaft 5 carrying the rake-head (not shown), the shaft being mounted on a pivot-shaft 6 rigidly secured perpendicularly to the beam 1, the latter having in the region of each bevelgear a recess, the recess, and the associated bevel-wheel and bevel-gear, being covered by a trough-like member 11 secured to the main supporting beam. The beam 1 carries two flanges 8, 9 in the vicinity of each recess, these flanges being bolted both to flanges on the trough 11 and to a plate 7 which carries the pivot-shaft 6. The trough, which has an aperture 12 for access to lubrication points, is longer than the corresponding recess and may either be openended or completely closed.
