Abstract

Perfeccionamientos en un procedimiento de producción de acero silícico electromagnético de elevada permeabilidad dotado de orientación de cubo sobre borde, cuyo procedimiento incluye las operaciones de preparar una masa fundida de acero silícico que contiene, en peso, del 2,5 al 4,0% de silicio; vaciar dicho acero; laminarlo en caliente; laminarlo en frío; descarburizarlo; aplicarle un revestimiento de óxido refractario y reconocerlo a su textura final; caracterizados dichos perfeccionamientos en aplicar dicho revestimiento de óxido refractario mediante electrolización de una solución acuosa que tiene como elemento constitutivo principal por lo menos un compuesto del grupo consistente en sales de calcio, magnesio, manganeso y aluminio solubles en agua y como elemento constitutivo menor boro, disponiéndose dicho acero como el cátodo en la citada solución, para formar y depositar un revestimiento adherente, portador de boro, de hidróxido del catión de la citada sal soluble sobre el referido acero, cuyo revestimiento tiene por lo menos 3 ppm de boro, basado en el peso del acero; mediante retirada del acero así revestido de dicha solución y mediante calentamiento del mismo a elevada temperatura.
