Abstract
Procedimiento perfeccionado de producción de acero silícico electromagnético dotado de orientación de cubo sobre borde, cuyo proceso incluye las operaciones de preparar una masa fundida de acero silícico que tiene hasta un 0,07% de carbono, del 0,01 al 0,25% de manganeso, del 0,01 al 0,09% de material del grupo consistente en azufre y selenio, del 2,5 al 4,0% de silicio, hasta el 1,0% de cobre, menos del 0,009% de aluminio y menos del 0,0006% de boro; colar dicho acero; laminarlo en caliente; laminarlo en frío; descarburizarlo; recocer el citado acero laminado en frío con calibre final; aplicar un revestimiento de óxido refractario al mismo; y recocerlo a su textura final, cuyos perfeccionamientos comprenden las operaciones de recocer el acero laminado en frío de calibre final en una atmósfera dotada de hidrógeno y con una relación PH2O/PH2 de 0,015 a 0,3 recubrir la superficie del acero con un revestimiento de óxido refractario consistente esencialmente en: (a) 100 partes en peso de, por lo menos, una sustancia del grupo consistente óxidos, hidróxidos, carbonatos y compuestos bóricos de magnesio, calcio, aluminio y titanio; (b) hasta 100 partes en peso de otras sustancias del grupo consistente en boro y compuestos del mismo; (c) de 0,1 a 100 partes en peso de, por lo menos, un óxido menos estable que el SiO2, a temperaturas de hasta 1176ºC, siendo dicho óxido de un elemento que no sea boro; (d) hasta 40 partes en peso de SiO2; (e) hasta 20 partes en peso de sustancias inhibidoras o compuestos de ellas; y (f) hasta 10 partes en peso de agentes fundentes; y recocer a la textura final el citado acero con dicho revestimientos sobre él.
