- G04C9/00—Electrically-actuated devices for setting the time-indicating means
Definitions
- the invention relates to an electronic watch with a time-keeping Device and analog display means by the time-keeping device via an electric drive be progressively progressed according to the passage of time.
- Such a watch is for example from DE 38 17 284 A1 known.
- the clock points to the wall opposite the hands an actuating element, on the rotation of which the pointers open the correct time can be set.
- an actuating element on the rotation of which the pointers open the correct time can be set.
- One on some The precise setting of the time in seconds is only possible by hand hardly possible.
- a watch is known from DE 77 10 909 U1 in which the time is set by using a numeric keypad Enter the time output in digital form.
- the Adopt the time entered using the number keys in the time register takes place in that when the one to be set is reached Time a manual actuator is operated.
- the clock can be set to the second with the actual time synchronize, for example, in that the Actuator when one sounds on radio or television broadcast time signal is actuated.
- a similar time setting is from DE 40 15 948 A1 known in which a clock is integrated in a calculator and where the time is set using the number keys on the Calculator is done.
- Another way of determining which to set Time can consist of the entered target time and the time corresponding to the reference position Difference determined and from this the number of steps determined which must be covered by the analog display means. This number of steps is then stored in another register. At the same time, the timekeeping facility accordingly the corresponding number of steps in the running time added to the value of this further register. Getting around the analog display means is then done by this other registers are "processed". That is, with every run Step of the analog display means the value of this further register is reduced accordingly.
- the arrangement is the clock setting under the Condition of precise setting to the second is considerably simplified.
- the input device can be, for example, a numeric keypad be.
- the Input device consist of at least one shift key, at their operation is the hour, minute and second values be incrementally counted up or down.
- the construction of the watch is simplified by using a Operator the actual time currently output via the Input device is stored in the reference time register, and that by subsequent actuation of an actuating means Synchronization process is started.
- analog display means by an operator brought into their reference position.
- This version too is particularly simple, but it is operated by an operator expected increased attention with it before then the time to be set, the reference position was set correctly.
- the reference time is now set fully automatic after the clock is connected to a voltage source was what, for example, in a battery-powered Clock is reached by inserting new batteries. An operator then only needs the input device Enter the target time and then the analog ones move Display means without further intervention by an operator to the time to be set.
- the electronic clock has a time-keeping device 1, for example by a Quartz crystal, not shown, is clocked and over a electrical drive 3 schematically shown pointer 2 advances. In the following it is assumed that this is an hour and a minute hand, the Minute hands incremented by one minute every minute becomes.
- the watch also has an input device 4, about the times entered in a target time register 5 can be, the content of which is output on a display 13 and on the other hand from the time-keeping device 1 is continuously advanced. Via the input device 4 can also in a reference time register 14, which is part of a Reference device 6 is entered a digital time will.
- the reference device 6 itself can by a manual actuating means 10 are activated, the Effect of activation will be described later.
- another register 8 of the subtractor 9 is always the result of the subtraction of the applied to the two inputs 9a and 9b of the subtractor 9 Times ahead.
- the subtraction of the two values 12 hours to the target time added up so that the value of the target time is then 22:00 is.
- the result of subtracting the target time minus the time The actual time is then 11 hours, which is the time difference of Target and actual time provided that the Pointer 2 can only be advanced clockwise. That so The result of the subtraction is a synchronization device 7 supplied, which will also be added later explanatory manner can be activated manually by a button 15 can.
- the output of the synchronization device 7 is with connected to a second input of the electric drive 3.
- FIG. 2 which is a second embodiment of the invention relates to correspond the switching elements provided with the same reference numerals as in Fig. 1 the switching elements already described in Fig. 1. For Avoiding repetitions will therefore affect their mode of action only in the event of deviations from FIG. 1.
- the essential difference of the block diagram according to FIG. 2 1 is that the user of the Clock a certain reference position of the pointer 2 by manually operated, acting on the drive 3 of the pointer 2 Function key 11 is "approached", the function key 11 must be pressed for as long or as often as necessary the pointer 2 in a reference position to be determined, for example 6:00 a.m. If the hands 2 reach this time, the user of the watch takes no further operation of the function key 11 more before. The value is in the reference time register 14 6:00 a.m. as actual time in digital form and saved is also present at the input 9a of the subtractor 9.
- the target time register is in turn 5 and the input 9b of the subtractor 9 the target time fed.
- the further register 8 Difference between actual and target time, where the Difference if the value of the actual time is greater than that of the The target time is formed in the manner already described becomes.
- the button 15 of the synchronization device 7 actuated, the latter switches the electric drive 3 and thus the pointer 2 by so many switching steps that the pointer 2 display the time to be set.
- the timekeeping facility 1 switches both the pointers 2 via the electric drive 3 as well as the digital display 13 via the target time register 5 according to the further course of time.
- the reference time register 14 differently assigned via the input device 4 can be entered, whereby the value of the time must be entered in each case, the pointer is currently on is the reference time register 14 in the embodiment of FIG. 2 with an unchangeable Value occupied.
- the opposite is the case with the necessary Movement of the pointers 2 to reach the reference position. 1, the pointers 2 not moved, while in the embodiment of FIG. 2nd manually moved to a fixed reference position with pointers 2 must become.
- the reference time register 14 stored a fixed digital time.
- the movement the pointer 2 via the electric drive 3 into the corresponding one The reference time position is here via a sensor 12 controlled.
- the pointer 2 for example by means of optical Means that the pointer status or the status of the corresponding Can detect gear train, controlled.
- the sensor 12 can, for example, immediately after connecting the power supply (not shown) to be activated on the clock.
- the sensor 12 stops it Advance and activated via a connecting line 16 both the input device 4 for entering the target time as also the reference device 6, which then via the input 9a delivers fixed reference time to the subtractor 9 and after input the target time via the input device 4 in turn further register 8 the difference between the target and actual time the reference position.
- the Synchronization device 7 via the button 15 are then finally the pointer 2 again via the drive 3 to the Set time, provided by the time keeping facility 1 as well as the digital display 13 on the timing be advanced accordingly.
