Настоящее изобретение относится к 1-[(4-хлорфенил)фенилметил]-4-(2,2,2-трихлорэтоксикарбонил)пиперазину формулы (IV) и его оптическим изомерам, способам их получения и применению соединения формулы (IV) при получении 1-(4-хлорфенил)фенилметилпиперазина и его оптических изомеров и солей. 1-(4-Хлорфенил)фенилметилпиперазин и его оптические изомеры представляют собой важные промежуточные соединения при получении неседативных активных фармацевтических ингредиентов антигистаминового типа.
