Bei Zugpendelleuchten geschieht bekanntlich das Herunterziehen des Lampenschirmes gegen die Wirkung einer Bremse, während zum Wiederanheben der Schirm von Hand angehoben werden muß, wobei die entlastete Leitungs- und Tragschnur unter dem Einfuß einer Feder selbsttätig aufgewickelt wird. Die Aufwickelfeder ist dabei so bemessen, daß ihre Rückstellkraft gerade ausreicht, die unbelastete Schnur zurückzuführen. Für Pendelleuchten mit Lampenschirmen von ausreichendem Gewicht, z. B. Glasglocken oder -kugeln, genügt diese Anordnung und Ausbildung. Bei leichten Schirmen aus Papier, Zellon o. dgl. Werkstoffen, die nur ein geringes Eigengewicht haben, ist die durch den Schirm hervorgerufene Belastung der Schnur nur unzureichend. Die Folge hiervon ist, daß die Feder, deren Rückstellkraft aus naheliegendenGründen nicht auf solch kleine Belastungsunterschiede einstellbar sein kann, die Schnur mitsamt dem Schirm emporzieht.
