The object of the invention is to design a generic container for producing particularly attractive light effects. A further object of the invention is to provide the container with a handle profile that is suitable for the hand and enables the container to be gripped securely and without slipping.

The problem is solved with a container having the features specified in claims 1 and 2.

The container according to the invention according to claim 1 has at least one illuminant on its upper peripheral edge and/or on or in its side wall and/or in its base plate and/or on its handle-shaped handle, which is connected to a power source arranged in the side wall or on or in the base plate and/or in the handle-shaped handle of the container with the interposition of a mechanical, light-optical or pressure-controlled on and off switch or sensor.

In the container according to claim 2, a sleeve-shaped body made of an elastic plastic with a shape corresponding to the shape of the container is pulled or attached to the outer wall surface of the container, which envelops the outer wall surface of the container, is held on the container by means of a press and clamp fit by shrinking or gluing, wherein this sleeve-shaped body has at least one light source on its upper peripheral edge and/or on or in its side wall, which is connected to a power source arranged in the side wall of the sleeve-shaped body with the interposition of a mechanical, light-optical or pressure-controlled on and off switch or sensor. With a container designed in this way according to the invention, it is possible to provide indirect lighting by means of the lights arranged on the container.

Several lights or light-emitting diodes are arranged as lighting means, for example on the upper peripheral edge and/or on or in the side wall of the container and/or the shell-shaped body and/or in the base plate and/or on the handle-shaped handle of the container. The lights or light-emitting diodes can also be provided in at least one ring arrangement on the upper peripheral edge and/or on or in the side wall of the container and/or the shell-shaped body and/or in or on the base plate of the container.

The container 100 shown in Fig. 1 is made of clay, ceramic, porcelain, glass, plastic, wood or metal and is preferably designed as a cup, mug or jug with or without a handle-shaped handle 104; the container 100 is also made of a translucent material or of crystal-clear or opaque translucent material, which can also be colored. According to Fig. 1, the container 100 is provided on its upper peripheral edge 101 with lighting means 10 in the form of lights 20 or light-emitting diodes 30. The lighting means 10 can be arranged on or in the side wall 102 in the area of the upper peripheral edge 101 of the container in sections or all around. Furthermore, Fig. 1 shows the arrangement of lighting means 10 on or in the side wall 102 of the container 100. In addition, the base plate 103 of the container 100 can also be

The lighting means are connected to a power source 16, e.g. in the form of a battery or a rechargeable battery, with the interposition of a mechanical, light-optical or pressure-controlled on/off switch 13 or sensor 14 (Fig. 1). The lighting means 10 are connected to the power source 16 as well as to the on/off switch 13 or the sensor 14 via current-conducting connections not shown in the drawing.

As shown in Fig. 2, the lighting means such as lamps 20 or light-emitting diodes can be arranged on the upper peripheral edge 102a of the container 100.

In the embodiment according to Fig. 3, the lights 20 or the light-emitting diodes 30 are arranged in the form of letters, letter combinations, numbers, number combinations, letter and number combinations, logos, advertising notices, names, motifs, company emblems or figures, namely in the form of a running light or running belt 160, where-

As lighting means 10, closer lights 20 or 30 are provided on the upper peripheral edge 101 and/or on or in the side wall 102 and/or in the base plate 103 of the container 100. The arrangement of the lights 20 or light-emitting diodes 30 can be arranged in the form of a ring arrangement 19 on the upper peripheral edge 101 or on or in the side wall 102. If the lights 20 or light-emitting diodes 30 are arranged in the side wall, e.g. in the material of the side wall 102, then the side wall preferably consists of a translucent material, whereby a side wall design can also be provided due to which the outer wall surface of the side wall 102 is impermeable and the inner wall surface of the side wall 102 of the container 100 is translucent, so that in this embodiment the liquid present in the container can be illuminated from the inside.

According to a further embodiment, the lights 20 or light-emitting diodes 30 are arranged in the material of the container 100 and/or in its handle-shaped handle 104. If the container 100 is provided with a lid part, then the lid part can also be provided with lighting means 10 in the same way.

According to a further embodiment according to Fig. 5, the light guide rod 70 is embedded in the material of the container 100. The base plate 103 can also be designed as a light guide rod. The lighting means 10 is then preferably arranged in the connecting area of the side wall 102 and the base plate 103. With this embodiment, there is the possibility of wall illumination or light exiting at 70a in the upper edge area of the side wall 102.

The lighting means 10 consists of at least one lamp 20 or at least one light-emitting diode 30, whereby the lighting means 10 can also emit colored light. The translucent material used to manufacture the container can also be colored.

As shown in Fig. 3, the light source 10 is designed in the form of a rotating running light or light strip 160 made up of a number of lights 20 or light-emitting diodes 30. For the running light 160 used, the circuit shown in Fig. 6 can be used, for example. In the circuit example, eight light-emitting diodes are connected to the Q outputs of 4 data flip-flops. This means that 4 LEDs are always lit, the others are switched off.

If the control commands at the information inputs of the flip-flops change, the lights of the LEDs connected to the outputs go out. The flip-flops are controlled in such a way that when the light state changes from one "constellation of four to the next", a very nice wandering effect is created. Referring to the circuit in Fig. 6, the circuit is started with S1. When the supply voltage is switched on, this switch must be in position 1; a "1" then goes to the data input of the first flip-flop. The switch remains in position 1 until the "1" entered at the beginning has run through the entire chain; then the switch is moved to position "2". The Q output of the last flip-flop is then connected to the data input of the first flip-flop. The further cycles now run automatically. The frequency of the control pulses is determined by the charging and discharging time of the capacitor C1. Since both times depend on the resistance value in the base circuit P1 and R10, among other things, the frequency of the control pulses and thus the running light frequency can be set with 1. The eight LEDs emit relatively little light, which is why the circuit in the specified version is suitable for domestic use, for example. If the LEDs are replaced by optocouplers, other lights such as small light bulbs can be controlled using suitable power levels. In addition to lights 20, light-emitting diodes 30 and the running light 130 with white light emission, this can also be designed so that colored light is emitted.

In the embodiment of a container 100 shown in Fig. 7, a sleeve-shaped body 90 made of an elastic plastic with a shape corresponding to the shape of the container 100 is pulled or attached to the outer wall surface of the container 100, which envelops the outer wall surface of the container 100 by means of a press and clamp fit by shrinking or gluing on the

The arrangement and assignment of the lighting means 10, i.e. the lights 20 and the light-emitting diodes 30, also takes place in the sleeve-shaped body 90 in the same way as in the previously described container 100, in which the lighting means 10 are arranged in its side wall or on its side wall 102. The arrangement of lights 20 and light-emitting diodes 30 in the form of a running light 160 is also possible. Furthermore, the sleeve-shaped body 30 can consist of a wide variety of materials; Preferably, the shell-shaped body 90 is made of translucent material or of crystal-clear or opaque translucent material. However, other materials can also be used to manufacture the shell-shaped body 90.

The container 100 can have any geometric shape, such as a conical shape extending towards the base plate. Furthermore, the container 100 can have a wide variety of geometric cross-sectional shapes.

In the same way as in the case of the container 100, the lights 20 or the light-emitting diodes 30 of the envelope-shaped body 90 can be arranged in the form of letters, letter combinations, numbers, number combinations, letter and number combinations, logos, advertising information, names, motifs, company emblems or figures and in connection can be designed as a running light or running belt 160.

According to Fig. 8, the side wall 102 of the container 100 is provided with a handle-like handle 215, which is designed as a negative mold 220, 220', i.e. moldings or impressions with raised sections 121 and recessed sections 122 of two human hands 230, 230' grasping the container 100. However, it is also possible to provide only a hand impression in or on the side wall 102 as a handle-like handle.

The negative molds 220, 220' formed in the side wall 102 of the container 100 are, as shown in Fig. 8 and 9, formed in the wall or in the outer wall surface of the container 100 in such a way that both negative molds 220, 220' representing the hand indentations encompass the container 100 in a way in which a container such as a drinking cup, drinking glass or the like is also grasped with the hands during use. However, it is also possible to place a handprint on the side wall 102 of the container 100 and to attach it permanently to the outer wall surface of the side wall 102, e.g. by means of an adhesive bond. The procedure is then such that a handprint or the impression of both hands is made in a suitable material, in particular a flexible material. The material section is then attached to the outer wall surface of the side wall 102 of the container 100. This material section can also be designed as an adhesive film and can be subsequently glued on.

The embodiment shown in Fig. 10 is the sleeve-shaped body 90, as shown in Fig. 7. This sleeve-shaped body 90, which is designed as a hollow cylindrical body open on both sides, can be pushed onto the container 100 so that the container 100 is encompassed by this sleeve-shaped body 90. This sleeve-shaped body 90 consists of an elastic plastic and is provided with

a shape corresponding to the shape of the container 100, i.e. the sleeve-shaped body 90 corresponds to the external shape of the container 100. In the side wall 92 of the sleeve-shaped body 90, the negative molds 220, 220' are designed as a handle-shaped handle 215 with raised sections 221 and recessed sections 222 of two human hands 230, 230', the arrangement of the recesses representing the hands in the side wall 92 of the sleeve-shaped body 90 being such that the hand-shaped recesses encompass the sleeve-shaped body 90. This sleeve-shaped body 90 is pulled or plugged onto the container 100 so that the sleeve-shaped body 90 is held on the container 100 by means of a press and clamp fit. Gluing is also possible. The hand-shaped handle profiling can also be incorporated into the respective material.

The shell-shaped body 90 can also consist of a material that does not conduct heat, so that the heat of a hot beverage in the container 100 is not conducted into the area of the handles. The handprint or handprints in or on the wall of the container 100 or the shell-shaped body 90 can be lined with a material that does not conduct heat to insulate against heat.

Despite the design of the outer wall 102 of the container 100 or the side wall 92 of the shell-shaped body 90 with such a handle-like handle, lighting means 10 can nevertheless also be used and arranged in the same way as described above without impairing the grip. The lighting means 10 are then arranged in the area of the handle-like handle in such a way that they do not protrude from the outer surface and the deformed surfaces, so that when handling the container

no injuries occur. It is also possible to create a design that causes the palm or both palms or the hand-shaped handle profile on the container to light up.

The outer wall surface of the side wall 102 and 92 of the container 100 and/or the shell-shaped body 90 can have a multi-dimensional, plastic surface design, e.g. in the form of a logo, motif, image design, etc. The entire design of the container 100 with or without the shell-shaped body 90 is such that a waterproof and dishwasher-safe design is achieved.

The handle-shaped handle 215 or the palm of the hand-shaped profile is illuminated using the lighting means 10 or the light-emitting diodes 30 in such a way that, for example, only the area of the handle-shaped handle is illuminated, e.g. by background lighting. In and/or on the container 100, the arrangement of the lighting means 10 or the lighting means can be such that an indirect illumination of the handle-shaped handle or the palm of the hand-shaped profile is achieved. The lighting means 10 or the lighting means for generating an indirect illumination can be connected to the light ring made up of lighting means 10 or light-emitting diodes 30 in the upper edge section or upper peripheral edge 101 of the container 100 with a switching device.

Claims (19)

1. Container, such as a cup, mug or jug with or without a handle and/or with or without a lid made of opaque material or of crystal-clear or opaque translucent material, characterized in that the container ( 100 ) - on its upper peripheral edge ( 101 ) and/or - on or in its side wall ( 102 ) and/or - in its base plate ( 103 ) and/or - on or in its handle ( 104 ) at least one illuminant ( 10 ) which is connected to a power source ( 16 ) arranged in the side wall ( 102 ) or on or in the base plate ( 103 ) and/or in the handle-shaped handle ( 104 ) of the container ( 100 ) with the interposition of a mechanical, light-optical or pressure-controlled on and off switch ( 13 ) or sensor ( 14 ). 2. Container, such as a cup, mug or jug with or without a handle and/or with or without a lid made of opaque material or of crystal-clear or opaque translucent material, characterized in that a sleeve-shaped body ( 90 ) made of an elastic plastic with a shape corresponding to the shape of the container ( 100) is pulled or attached to the outer wall surface of the container (100 ) , which sleeve-shaped body encases the outer wall surface of the container ( 100 ), is held on the container ( 100 ) by means of a press and clamp fit by shrinking or gluing, also in the form of an adhesive film that can be subsequently stuck on, wherein the sleeve-shaped body ( 90 ) - on its upper peripheral edge ( 91 ) and/or - on or in its side wall ( 92 ) at least one illuminant ( 10 ) which is connected to a power source ( 16 ) arranged in the side wall ( 92 ) of the shell-shaped body ( 90 ) with the interposition of a mechanical, light-optical or pressure-controlled on and off switch ( 13 ) or sensor ( 14 ). 3. Container according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that a plurality of lights ( 20 ) or light-emitting diodes ( 30 ) are arranged as lighting means ( 10 ) on the upper peripheral edge ( 101 ; 91 ) and/or on or in the side wall ( 102 ; 92 ) of the container ( 100 ) and/or of the sleeve-shaped body ( 90 ) and/or in the base plate ( 103 ) and/or on its handle-shaped handle ( 104 ) of the container ( 100 ). 4. Container according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the lights ( 20 ) or light-emitting diodes ( 30 ) are provided in at least one ring arrangement ( 19 ) on the upper peripheral edge ( 101 ; 91 ) and/or on or in the side wall ( 102 ; 92 ) of the container ( 100 ) and/or of the envelope-shaped body ( 90 ) and/or in or on the base plate ( 103 ) of the container ( 100 ). 5. Container according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the lights ( 20 ) or light-emitting diodes ( 30 ) are arranged in the material of the container ( 100 ) and/or in its handle-shaped handle ( 104 ) and/or in the material of the sleeve-shaped body ( 90 ). 6. Container according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the side wall ( 102 ) of the container ( 100 ) and/or of the shell-shaped body ( 90 ) and/or the base plate ( 103 ) of the container ( 100 ) is double-walled to form an intermediate space ( 105 ), wherein one wall of the double wall is made of a translucent material and the other wall is made of a translucent material, and that at least one illuminant ( 10 ) is arranged in the intermediate space ( 105 ), e.g. as indirect lighting. 7. Container according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the container ( 100 ) or the sleeve-shaped body ( 90 ) consists of a light-conducting material which is connected to a lighting means ( 10 ), and that the lighting means ( 10 ) are arranged in the connection region of the side wall ( 102 ) and the base plate ( 103 ) of the container ( 100 ). 8. Container according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that in the side wall ( 102 ; 92 ) of the container ( 100 ) or of the sleeve-shaped body ( 90 ) at least one light guide rod ( 70 ) extending from the lower region of the container ( 100 ) or of the sleeve-shaped body ( 90 ) to the upper peripheral edge ( 101 ) is arranged, with a light source ( 10 ) and with a light exit surface ( 70b ) located in the upper wall surface ( 102a ) of the peripheral edge ( 101 ). 9. Container according to claim 8, characterized in that the light guide rod ( 70 ) is embedded in the material of the container ( 100 ) or in the material of the sheath-shaped body ( 90 ). 10. Container according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the lighting means ( 10 ) consists of at least one lamp ( 20 ) or at least one light-emitting diode ( 30 ), wherein the lighting means ( 10 ) emits single- or multi-colored light. 11. Container according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the light-permeable material of the container ( 100 ) or of the envelope-shaped body ( 90 ) is colored. 12.
