Processo para hidrogenação de polímeros aromáticos na presença de catalisadores e na presença de um hidrocarboneto contendo oxigênio, sendo que como catalisador é empregado um metal ou mistura de metais do subgrupo VIII do sistema periódico juntamente com um carreador de dióxido de silício, óxido de alumínio, ou uma mistura deles.
