Abstract

Un catalizador útil par usar en catalizar la oxidación del monóxido de carbono e hidrocarburos, el cual comprende un soporte óxido que tiene capturadosobre el mismo un metal noble en forma catalíticamente efectiva. El catalizador estácaracteriz ado por la presencia de un óxido de titanio, molibdeno o de unamezcla de los mismos. La invención también incluye un método para oxidar monóxido de carbono o un hidrocarburo en la presencia de azufre, el cualcomprende la etapa decatalizar la oxidación al usar el catalizador de esta invención.
