Abstract
''PROCESSO PARA PREPARAR UMA FOLHA DE ESPUMA POLIMéRICA TERMOFORMáVEL''. A presente invenção compreende um processo para preparar uma folha de espuma polimérica, que compreende (i) extrudar através de uma matriz de extrusão anular uma composição espumável compreendendo pelo menos um polímero de polipropileno e pelo menos um agente de sopro, a uma pressão, temperatura, e taxa de extrusão suficientes para evitar a espumação da composição antes de sair da matriz, sob condições suficientes para formar um tubo de espuma tendo uma densidade de pelo menos 16 kg/m³ e não maior que 200 kg/m³, e um teor de células abertas menor que 70 por cento, uma circunferência de pelo menos 1 metro, e uma espessura de espuma de pelo menos 2 mm e não maior que 25 mm, sendo que o agente de sopro é usado em uma quantidade de 0,2 a 4,5 moles por kg de polímero, (ii) permitir que a espuma resfrie até uma temperatura abaixo da temperatura de fusão do polipropileno, e (iii) cortar o tubo de espuma ao longo do seu raio para formar uma folha de espuma, sendo que pelo menos 70 por cento em peso do polímero em tal folha é polipropileno tendo uma resistência de fundido na faixa de 30 a 60 Cn quando medida a 190°C.
