Abstract
<B>"MICROORGANISMO PERTENCENTE AO GêNERO KLEBSIELLA, AO GêNERO ERWINIA OU AO GêNERO PANTOEA E PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR áCIDO L-GLUTâMICO"<D>. Um processo para produzir ácido L-glutâmico, que compreende cultivar um microorganismo pertencente aos gêneros Klesbsiella, Erwinia ou Pantoea e tendo uma capacidade para produzir ácido L-glutâmico em um meio de cultura, e coletar-se do meio de cultura o ácido L-glutâmico produzido. A cepa microbiana usada é, de preferência, uma cepa que diminui ou é deficiente em uma atividade de uma enzima catalisando uma reação ramificando de uma via para a biossíntese de ácido L-glutâmico e produzindo-se um composto diferente de ácido L-glutâmico, ou uma cepa que aumenta em uma atividade de uma enzima catalisando uma reação para a biossíntese de ácido L-glutâmico.
