Verfahren zur Darstellung eines dem vulkanisierten Kautschuk nahestehende Produkts.
Durch das Patent Nr. 57703 ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von dem vulkanisierten Kautschuk nahestehende Produkten geschützt, welches darin besteht, dass man die nach dem Verfahren der Patente Nr. 49688,49687, 52602 und 54961 erhältlichen kautschuk- ähnlichen Massen den für die Vulkanisierung des Kautschuks verwendbaren Verfahren unterwirft.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass sich das gemäss Patent Nr. 59832 erhältliche Einwirkungsprodukt von basischen Agenzien auf das von Kondakow im Journal f. praktische Chemie 64, S. 109/110 beschriebene, durch Stehenlassen des ss-y-Dimethylbutadiens am Licht erhaltene Polymerisationsprodukt ebenfalls in vorzüglicher Weise vulkanisieren lässt.
Diese Tatsache war durchaus überraschend, da das Kondakowsche Produkt selbst für diesen Zweck wenig geeignet ist. Dieses stellt eine weisse, krümlige Masse dar, die unlöslich in Benzin, Ligroin, Chloroform, Schwefelkohlenstoff, Äther, Alkohol, Azeton und Terpentinöl ist.
Beispiel.
20 Teile des nach Patent Nr. 59832 erhältlichen Produkts werden mit zwei Teiler Schwefel auf der Walze gut durcheinandergearbeitet. Darauf wird die so erhaltene Masse noch etwa eine Stunde auf 135 erhitzt. Man erhält so eine elastisch (-, Platte von guter Festigkeit.
Es können auch alle anderen für die Vulkanisierung des Kautschuks verwendbaren Methoden benutzt werden.

A process for the preparation of vulcanized rubber-related products is protected by patent no Subject to rubber usable processes.
It has now been found that the product of action of basic agents obtainable according to patent no. 59832 is similar to that of Kondakow in Journal f. Practical Chemistry 64, p. 109/110, which is described by allowing the ss-y-dimethylbutadiene to stand in the light, can also be vulcanized in an excellent manner.
This fact was quite surprising, since Kondakov's product itself is unsuitable for this purpose. This is a white, crumbly mass that is insoluble in gasoline, ligroin, chloroform, carbon disulfide, ether, alcohol, acetone and turpentine oil.
Example.
Twenty parts of the product available from patent no. 59832 are mixed well with two parts of sulfur on the roller. The resulting mass is then heated to 135 for about an hour. This gives an elastic (-, plate of good strength.
All other methods which can be used for vulcanizing the rubber can also be used.
