Abstract
Se proporcionan plantas transgénicas, células de plantas, semillas y partes de plantas resistentes a una infestación de lepidópteros y coleópteros, las cuales contienen secuencias de polinucleótidos que codifican proteínas insecticidas de la presente. Se proporcionan, además, métodos para detectar la presencia de los polinucleótidos o las proteínas de la presente en una muestra biológica y métodos de control de plagas de coleópteros y lepidópteros utilizando cualquiera de las proteínas insecticidas de tipo TIC3668. Reivindicación 1: Una molécula aislada de polinucleótido recombinante que codifique un polipéptido inhibidor de insectos que contenga una secuencia de aminoácidos seleccionada del grupo que consta de SEC ID Nº 25, SEC ID Nº 23, SEC ID Nº 24, SEC ID Nº 26, SEC ID Nº 27, SEC ID Nº 28, SEC ID Nº 29, SEC ID Nº 30 y SEC ID Nº 31. Reivindicación 2: Que la molécula aislada de polinucleótido recombinante del reclamo 1 contenga: a) una secuencia de nucleótidos seleccionada del grupo que consta de SEC ID Nº 37, SEC ID Nº 33, SEC ID Nº 35, SEC ID Nº 39, SEC ID Nº 41, SEC ID Nº 43, SEC ID Nº 45, SEC ID Nº 47, SEC ID Nº 49, SEC ID Nº 64, SEC ID Nº 65, SEC ID Nº 66, SEC ID Nº 67, SEC ID Nº 68, SEC ID Nº 69, SEC ID Nº 70, SEC ID Nº 71 y SEC ID Nº 72 o (b) una secuencia de nucleótidos que se hibride en condiciones rigurosas al: (i) el complemento inverso de la secuencia de nucleótidos desde la posición 4 a la 885 de una secuencia seleccionada del grupo que consta de SEC ID Nº 37, SEC ID Nº 33, SEC ID Nº 35, SEC ID Nº 39, SEC ID Nº 41, SEC ID Nº 43, SEC ID Nº 45, SEC ID Nº 47, SEC ID Nº 49, SEC ID Nº 64, SEC ID Nº 65, SEC ID Nº 66, SEC ID Nº 67, SEC ID Nº 68, SEC ID Nº 69, SEC ID Nº 70, SEC ID Nº 71 y SEC ID Nº 72 o (ii) el complemento inverso a una secuencia seleccionada del grupo conste de SEC ID Nº 52, SEC ID Nº 53, SEC ID Nº 54, SEC ID Nº 55, SEC ID Nº 56, SEC ID Nº 57, SEC ID Nº 58, SEC ID Nº 59, SEC ID Nº 60 y SEC ID Nº 61; que dichas condiciones rigurosas comprendan la hibridación durante 4 a 12 horas en formamida al 50%, 1 M de NaCl y 1% de SDS a 37ºC y un lavado en 0,1 X SSC entre 60ºC y 65ºC. Reivindicación 4: Un polipéptido recombinante inhibidor de insectos codificado por la molécula de polinucleótidos del reclamo 1. Reivindicación 11: Una composición inhibidora de insectos que contenga la molécula aislada recombinante de polinucleótidos del reclamo 1. Reivindicación 18: Un producto de consumo que contenga a la célula huésped del reclamo 10, dicho producto comprenda una cantidad detectable del polinucleótido recombinante aislado o un polipéptido recombinante inhibidor de insectos codificado por un polinucleótido recombinante aislado.
