Abstract
Se divulgan composiciones y métodos para el control de plagas de plantas. En particular, se proporcionan proteínas insecticidas que tienen toxicidad contra plagas de insectos coleópteros y/o lepidópteros. También se proporcionan moléculas de ácido nucleico que codifican las proteínas insecticidas. También se divulgan métodos de preparación de las proteínas insecticidas y métodos de uso de las proteínas insecticidas y ácidos nucleicos que codifican las proteínas insecticidas, por ejemplo, en plantas transgénicas para conferir protección contra el daño de insectos. Reivindicación 1: Un casete de expresión que comprende un promotor unido de forma funcional a una molécula de ácido nucleico heteróloga, que comprende una secuencia de nucleótidos que comprende: (a) una secuencia de nucleótidos de una cualquiera de las SEQ ID Nº 1 a 3 o SEQ ID Nº 6 a 8; (b) una secuencia de nucleótidos que es al menos un 80% idéntica a la secuencia de nucleótidos de una cualquiera de las SEQ ID Nº 1 a 3 o SEQ ID Nº 6 a 8; (c) una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica un polipéptido, donde la secuencia de aminoácidos del polipéptido comprende la SEQ ID Nº 4, SEQ ID Nº 5 o SEQ ID Nº 9; (d) una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica un polipéptido, donde la secuencia de aminoácidos del polipéptido es al menos un 80% similar a la secuencia de aminoácidos de la SEQ ID Nº 4, SEQ ID Nº 5 o SEQ ID Nº 9; (e) una secuencia de nucleótidos que es complementaria a la secuencia de nucleótidos de una cualquiera de (a) a (d) anteriores. Reivindicación 24: Una planta transgénica que comprende una molécula de ácido nucleico que confiere resistencia potenciada a insectos, done dicha molécula de ácido nucleico comprende el casete de expresión de la reivindicación 1.
